The QC10 ballbar system can be enhanced by including any one of a number of accessories.

These allow you to extend the scope of your ballbar test or allow the testing of machines other than standard machining centres.

Small circle accessory kit

Small circle accessory kitThis accessory kit allows the QC10 ballbar to perform 50 mm radius tests (standard minimum is 100 mm), helping to give an enhanced analysis of servo control systems on most types of machines.

Small circle accessory kit includes:

  • 1 QC10 small circle adaptor
  • 1  Zerodur® calibrator (50 mm)
  • 1 high magnetism tool cup
  • 2 high magnetism centre cups
  • 1 set of operating instructions
  • 1 calibration certificate
  • 1 plastic carrying case

Accessories used with both QC10 and QC20-W ballbars

The following accessories can be used with both the QC10 ballbar and the new QC20-W ballbar systems. For additional details please refer to QC20-W ballbar accessories.

 

Calibrators

Ballbar calibratorThe use of this calibrated artefact, made of a patented material that exhibits negligible thermal expansion, allows the QC10 to be calibrated before use and absolute measurements to be taken. For example, you can determine scale error on an axis rather than just scale mismatch between axes.

 

360° lathe adaptor kit

Lathe adaptor kitExpand the versatility of the QC10 ballbar by including lathes in your ballbar test programs. Diagnosing specific errors on your lathe is both quick and easy using this accessory.

VTL adaptor

VTL adaptorWith tests performed in the XZ plane the VTL adaptor replaces the tool cup of the standard kit and allows the magnetic centre-cup to be retracted after centering, so that the machine can be moved to the test start position without losing centre location, Allows checking of many 2 axis machines e.g. vertical turning lathes and laser cutting machines.
